Greetings from the Critique Club Anna,
Cool Border collies! I have two myself.
You received some really good comments on this that I feel offer you a lot of insight. The brick wall and the framing alone would make for a really good shot alone, and the dogs playing in the snow would also make for a good shot. With both in the same shot they are competing for attention and overwhelm the viewer. When I look at the photo I see the brick wall, and then itâs like âhey there are two dogs down there too.â One or the other would be better for me.
Technical wise, the snow is very over exposed. Shooting a photo with part snow and part not snow is difficult. Also, the photo is not really sharp and could use a little tweeking of the colors.
Hope you find this helpful. Good luck on future challenges!

I love the abstract quality of the wall/door, combined with the iconic positions of the dogs. 10. |

The massive brick wall overwhelms the dogs. You really have two pictures here. |

My eye is drawn much more to the red wall than to the subjects. |

While there may be too many elements fighting for attention, it fits the challenge theme well. |

I like the lines and colors in the background behind the dogs. There seems to be a slight blue halo around the dogs. Is that from sharpening maybe. I like the dogs being included in the frame. |
