| this looks like it was done in a studio, which is great, but i think that if it was or wasn't it shouldn't show. i think it does b/c the lighting is unbalenced, between the foreground/subject, and backround. the flash flattened and dominated it as far as light goes. and i think this hurts it the most. |

| The fill flash has flattened this out unacceptably to my eye. The theme and composition are excellent. |

| I wish the snow line behind the shoes was just a little higher, the ridge-like quality would have given a nice natural border to the subject. The tree-tops don't add anything here. Nice "old-school" shoes, I am used to seeing aluminum and plastic clips these days. |
