Just for the record no keys were harmed in the execution of this shot. The over flow wax is cool and solid. But the picture was taken during an actual blackout and I couldn't check on my score here. And I thought, someday there will be no more electricity. We depend on it so much. The wax on the keys was to imply the electrity had been off a long time and might not be comming back on.. Oh and absentmindedness is also one of my fears. aelith

What scares me more than a poweroutage is a candle burning and melting wax down into a keyboard! Because of the low light shooting condition, the picture is a little soft and very grainy in the darker areas. I wish I could delineate the flame from the candle, but that portion is all blown out.

hope the wax is not entering your keyboard! - good concept

I hope you didn't ruin your keyboard!

I like the colors in this shot. I hope you didn't ruin your keyboard, though.

very creative. i guess that computer isnt going to be working, is it. about the only thing i would suggest is that if you have spot metering, meter for the candle flame itself - then you will get a clearer flame instead of the over-exposure. the rest of the pic will be darker, but i think that would be better. also it's seems a little tilted to left. mag 99.

Interesting exposure and saturation. A touch of irony, too. Wonder what people would have said if you had shown a monitor that was on? (I doubt some would even catch it. :-))

good shot :) I think the exposure on the flame is a little 'hot' but this is a good idea :) = 7 - jmsetzler

I appreciate the messing up a keyboard. Your photo seems a little too grainy, though.

Did the wax come out of the keyboard? Nasty! If I say the candle light is too bright, then I condem your keyboard to black, if I say your keyboard is too dark, your candle light will be even more blown out. Bottom line: this shot as set up is outside the range of most any camera. 5 Swash

Nords worst nightmare =)

And the fear of having to clean the wax out of your keyboard:) Good job. Shey.
