 The background used is my reflector on the floor, borrowed my girlfriend's high heels and her feather scarf. The tricky part was to form the frame with the feathers and getting rid of the shadows pre-processing. Shot the picture using tripod and firing the flash manually repeatedly around the subject until I got the desired lighting.

Processing was minimal. I adjusted the levels on the RAW file then converted to jpg, rotated, burned a couple of dead pixels and dodged a few shadows, adjusted the levels, curves, resized and saved.

First Impression - the most important one:
What a frame!

Composition:

This is nice .. centred as it needs to be ... but the impression of a love heart adds to the composition.

Subject:
meets the challenge - in face you nailed it.

Technical (Colour and light):
Great ... I like the relfections of light on the shoes as well ..

To grow its vote?:
I find it hard on a top five to think how to improve ... take note of the other commemntors though :)

Summary:
Gorgeous ... really good solid shot.

This is lovely. Good idea. I think it has to much space given up to the feathers. On my monitor, they lack detail and by the title I suppose that is the desired effect but there's just to much lost space. I'm giving a higher score, but would like to mention a couple other things that could be improved. The creases in the camera left shoe might be cloned out and there is someting under the heel on camera right. If that is just a shadow, I'd clone it so it's uniform.
