| I like the composition and the selective desat idea, but the color choices seem strange to me. They're not especially "appealing" shades against the starkness of B/W. Something softer and/or perhaps against a background of pinkish gray maybe? Probably just a matter of taste... |

Lovely desat here. You did a very good job with the colors (well, more the erasement of them), leaving the pinky shoes as the lonely color. Light is OK for me. The focus and DOF is nice.
I'm not sure, but maybe you could achieve more contrast using levels: you could make all the photo darker (even loosing a bit of BG) to make the details to appear. Try it (if you want, of course). If you need more explanation from me just ask.

| woaaaa!!!!! why whould you desaturate the color of the feet??? They just look like the feet of a dead person. Not at all appealing! Otherwise, nice shoes. |
