A doll's head I found whilst walking my dogs in the woods. Because there is just something about dolls isn't there...?

OK, creepy. Wish the dolls head wasn't so close to the center of the picture. Maybe closer to one of the corners and angled a bit more. Did you do the eye? That's probably the freakiest part of the whole thing -- too bad it isn't a little bit more obvious.

Oohhwhhwhhwh. Where's the serial killer?
07/14/2002 12:07:00 PM
This face could _definitely_ instill fear in me, but I'd like to see it closer and with more detail.
07/13/2002 11:58:00 PM
Kinda Blair Witchy, dontcha think?
07/13/2002 02:33:00 PM
A close-up, tight shot might have been more effective. Interesting concept

man, this could totally give me nightmares--dolls and clowns, ugh! I really like the setting of this picture, just maybe a little different framing to keep it from looking so centered. awesome fear choice! 8-amitchell

Creative and reasonably well composed.
07/11/2002 04:56:00 PM
Creepy image, but the color balance could have been a little more dramatic.
07/11/2002 04:55:00 PM
Reminds me of a Stephen King novel...

Right out of "A Toy Story" - this says volumes. The image is slightly blurred on the right side. The color is perfect.

I don't especially like your portrayal of fear, but you have captured it well. I give you a 7 on this one. Autool

Try zooming closer to the subject

The true fear of every toy lost and abandoned

Definately strange. I don't have much more to comment - sorry.

I think I will have nightmares about this one. Hehehehehe. Just a thought: maybe not have the head (or what's left of it) in the dead center (bad pun intended), or turn it vertical. Don't know if it would make any difference, or not, but it was just a thought. karmat

This is a neat shot... I don't particularly like the bullseye centering of the subject, but the photo fits the challenge well :) = 7 - jmsetzler

meeting challenge = 5. photo quality = 4 nice shot, could maybe use a different placement of the head rather than just in the center. total = 9
07/09/2002 04:40:00 PM
why does this disturb me the most
07/09/2002 03:58:00 PM
this has an interesting "blair witch" feel too it. It may have looked good desaturated, to remove most of the color.
07/09/2002 01:57:00 PM
I like the picture, its creepy, but i'm not sure it says fear.
07/09/2002 12:29:00 PM
creepy picture...! excellent translation of subject!
07/09/2002 12:28:00 PM
Get in closer! The subject is occupying no more than 20% of the frame. It's good to have context but I think this is too much.
07/09/2002 12:19:00 PM
Freaky!
07/09/2002 09:32:00 AM
The dollhead is kinda creepy but you did nothing photographically to enhance that. Get in close and fill the frame with it. Get a flash light and shine some light on it from different angles, experiment and see what looks the best.
07/08/2002 03:34:00 PM
Creepy! I'm not sure why I like this, but I do - 7
07/08/2002 03:31:00 PM
Dark, but well composed shot. More sad than scary, Chucky's Revenge angle?

07/08/2002 12:05:00 PM
cool! : )
07/08/2002 08:40:00 AM
Too flat. A secondary light might've helped
07/08/2002 02:35:00 AM
OK.....this is creepy
07/08/2002 12:44:00 AM
Hmm. I think it's more 'creepy' than 'fear'.. 5
