I wanted to make this photo stand out so I desaturated all the green and yellow. I thought it makes it a little different. I don't know if people will like it or not, but I think it looks cool. The other colors I didn't really touch much. I left them pretty natural, with maybe only a very slight boost.

The border I added because I thought it would look cool, plus I had never done this type of border so I was interested to learn how to do it. I got instructions on it from //www.makesmewonder.com :)

The photo itsself was taken at the Royal Botanical Gardens here in Melbourne on my lunch break. That is just two guys I don't know sitting on the seats feeding the ducks.

Because this is not a traditional garden shot, I am a little worried about how it will go, but then I really like it and my new learned PS techniques so I don't care too much.

I like the composition here, but the border hurt the shot to my eye. I think it would have been better without one...

But htat's just me :)

Nicely composed, but I'm not so sure about the desaturation...

Desaturation kind of dulls this picture...

I'm assuming you took out the green on purpose, interesting idea, but not really my taste. : )

Too bad it's winter. Would have looked better with more vibrant greens.

Not keen on the border at all, but very nice photo.8, 1 point deducted for the border, overall 7.

I don't really like the effect you have done on the colors... Looks like everything is dead. It's still interesting however.

The frame doesn't work for me on this one.

i think killing the green color was not a really good idea.

I'm not sure why, but I don't like the frame, its almost discracting with the color and thikness

This particular landscape seems to have it's own level of interest. I simply do not understand your reasoning for the desaturation in this one. In my opinion, desaturation of color should serve some specific purpose and create some specific interest. I am completely missing that in this photo. Your choice of border here is also a bit weak in my opinion. It's not 'continuous' around the image because it gets lost in the darker areas of the photo.

I think this photo would be much better without trying to use digital enhancement with no really positive outcome of that enhancement...

what happen to the color in the trees? cool blue reflection in the water, no need for border.

I do not like the selective desaturation of this photo. the composition is appealing, but looks unfinished this way.

I've been there once, and I really enjoyed what I saw. I miss seeing it in green, however.

I assume you purposely desaturated all but a few colors...? Not sure that really has a desirable effect here -- it makes everything look like a fire has just swept through. I'd be careful when to use that particular technique.

The colors look really off, the desaturate of the green and over saturate of the blue doesn't really work here.

Interesting use of color.

border is annoying, whole image feels like it droops on the left.

For a minute I thought it was in b&w. Snapshoot feel. Person in bottom of photo are distracting. 3
