| I've gone back and forth on this one between 9 and 10...I am going to stick with 9 because, while they are a nice mirror of the butterfly spots, I think the white circles detract |

| Very nice butterfly shot. I feel that the composition lets it down a little... the eyes are the focus for me and they are too centred in the frame for my liking. I'm also not sure about the proportion of bark in the shot. Other than that, brilliant! I really love the proboscis, that's what makes this shot so effective. Nice dappled background, although I'm not sure there is enough contrast between this and the subject. 9 |

| Interesting image and I like the little blobs of light in the background. In terms of DOF I think this could benefit from having less, along the lines of Gordon's "Camouflage" image, though I appreciate you may not have wanted that look. |
