sharp, rock and web add nice detail. would like to see a bit more cropped off the top. one of the best spiders in this challange.

I think this is a superb picture, it probably will score lower than you deserve due to the number of insect and spider entries. It is by far the best "critter" entry, (by my estimation) in this challenge. That includes mine which is hovering at about 5.35 now. Your's gets a 10 from me - Autool.

Good capture of detail, and depth. I would suggest looking at it in the eye, but I think I'm glad you didn't do that!

Great pic, not too original as it turns out though. Lots of spider pics in this challenge. Doesn't really express fear.

I wrote too soon, I had another spider shot as best of that catagory, but this is better, although I do like the head on view better. Great macro! 9 Swash

This is the best spider picture of the bunch - also one of my favorite shots for this challenge. I like the angle you selected to shoot from. Also, I like the natural setting on the ground. Great detail and dof.

Great focus and cropping but I think it would be more threatening or convey more "fear" if the spider was facing the photographer

Its a good shot, but you should have slipped something into the background to make it look wild, and not a caged beast.

I wish you could have captured the face. This is still great. You really captured the little furry bastard and the webs underneath. Its all great.
