Really nicely done, good selective desat, good focus, and good composition. Really don't see how to improve it.

Great shot. Great sharpness and detail and the selective sat works well. Great score especially considering the kid factor ( I wasnt as fortunate). And along with some of the other middling masses scores - those votes below 4 are just not appropriate. What are they voting on?

What a fun picture. Seriously. I just wish that there wasn't such a strong bias against the venerable Rubber Ducky who has put in such service on this website and in photography in general. Might have been a fun picture with something else, but what would have been yellow?

Nice shot.

This is an incredible shot! The clarity and contrast in the black and white is exceptional - I'm really hoping you did one without the ducky to hang on the wall! The addition of the ducky is nice to meet the challenge, and the use of color in just the duck works well for this shot.

This is an awesome shot, but I think it is hurt by the TOTAL desat on the baby. Leaving a bit of a yellow colorization, or a slight sepia, would have balanced it better IMHO. This polarizes the ducky so much that it no longer seems to belong in the photo.

I did not vote on this one either, but would most likely have given it another 6, very nicely done, there is a VERY SLIGHT halo effect I see on this monitior around her "skirt" and the hair ribbon is a very slight distraction to me, because it is SO white also. Not a great fan of selective desat, but this is really one of the best I have seen! Think you did well with it, and not much to improve on, IMO!!

I like this shot a lot, and 5.9 is a really respectable score. Good job! Everything's clear and sharp, the baby's sweet, the yellow is bright and doesn't seem contrived like selective desats sometimes can.

This is a beautiful shot. It should have scored higher.

Simply a great shot that seems to have suffered with the dpc "we don't like shots featuring [insert topic of hate/contempt/whatever here]" syndrome.

Very nicely done. Great expression on the baby's face. Good tonal range, and appropriate use of desaturation.

I also like the sharpness of focus.

Suggestions for improvement? Tough one. When I first viewed the shot my eye was drawn to the hairband, so perhaps this is a minor distraction. Also, it's a pity the baby isn't looking towards the duck. She's looking out of the frame.

The only reason it didn't do better in the scoring was because some voters automatically vote babies 1,2 or 3 regardless of how good the shot is!

What a sweetheart. Adorable model, excellent subject that is easily relateable and grabs the viewer. The focus is excellent, lighting is very nice. The whites are a bit too white in the towel as some of the fluffiness is lost, but overall they are handled superbly. The duck gives just the right amount of shout to the image, keeps it from being a lovely but oft-done picture. 7
