Challenge: Children's Toy (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Location: ontario
Date: Mar 31, 2006
Date Uploaded: Mar 31, 2006

My goal for this photo is to do better than my first two. (that shouldn't be a problem!) i wish i had put the dog on the other side because the yellow slides catch my eye and may have lead the lines to him more effectively. The background is out of focus on purpose.

rotate, crop, unsharpen mask

I like the DOF. It accentuates the contrast between the carefree playground and the stark situation of the poor lost toy.

I'm not sure if the tilt is intentional or not, but if so IMO it should be greater. As it is, I find myself tipping my head slightly to straighten it. Otherwise I really like this :)

Nice setup, and leaves the picture with a good story (9)

Nice idea. There's just too much of the photo that is out-of-focus for my taste, either crop or use more DOF to include playground.

Good idea and nice sharp focus on the toy. I think it may have been better if you straightened the horizon.
