This is really nice. One thing that bothers me visually here and might have bothered others is the border which seems like it needs a bit more separation from the dark background to the black of the border. 1 pixel doesn't seem to cut it for me. 2-5 pixels might still keep the understated feeling to the thin border. I think I'd prefer something that was around as thick as one of the veins in the wing that is more visible. Just my silly ideas...
I would also have liked just a touch more DOF to grab the rest of the wing in focus. Possibly also a tiny bit more contrast just in the butterfly itself? Otherwise, expertly captured.

Just a beautiful photo which was massively under rated IMO. I love the crop and the ligth, ABSOLUTELY stunning!!! You have every right to be dissapointed with how this went.

| Delightful! The yellow tones are very nice, the simple presentation is excellent. The lighting is well done and the focus looks good. There seems to be some softening of the focus but that may be due to compression. There is also some odd artifacts ringing the butterfly, not sure what that's from. Very nice. 6 |
