Wow 2002! – That was 3 camera generations ago for me. Looking back at all the pictures I shot that year, I am surprised that they don’t look as good as I remembered or, on average, as good as I’m shooting now. I have learned a lot since then and DPC is responsible for much of my learning opportunities. Thanks.

This was shot in San Francisco at the Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). It is a small part of a huge multi-part sculpture created by Sarah Sze called Things Fall Apart 2001 – mixed media installation with vehicle. This small piece is reflected in the marble top of a wall, with the museum wall behind.

I have liked this image since I shot it and feel it is one of my best from that year. It is pretty much as it was out-of-the-camera, with onl a few minor tweaks. Hope you enjoy it.

Hello from the critique club.

What I really like about this image is the sense of balance and symmetry that's here. It's busy, but at the same time all the elements work together. I like the strong lines, and then angle that this was shot from. I especially like the shadow on the wall, it just brings everything together.

I think though, that this might benefit from being a little more sharp & crisp, it would give it extra "pop". I'd also like to see the colours more vivid, particularly the red.

All in all, this is a very unique and memorable image. Good job. :)

Well done abstract. Technically very good and the lighting on the right side adds considerably to the balance of the composition. I might have cropped a bit more off the left side. That, by no means, detracts from the overall high quality of this entry.
