I'm not this pessimistic, the title just fits the picture. I took this in my backyard after it snowed and only changed the color slightly to get rid of a little bit of blue sky.

Super colors. You've created a dark mood without using darkness all that much. Really intriguing work! 9

Nice mood to this pic, shame the sky is a little blown out... certainly has a desloate feel to it. Good Luck, Todd. 8.

Absolutely took my breath away the moment it came up on my screen. This shot actually gives me chills. Composition is compelling, as is the color treatment that you used. Can't wait to see how you did this. A visually engaging shot, no doubt, but it's one of those things that you don't want to look at, but you just can't help yourself. Terrific execution of the challenge. (Hopefully people realize that "nuclear" means "nuclear weapons", NOT "nuclear power"!

Wow. Awesome shot. I particularly like how the root of the tree sort of fades into the snow and the mist off in the distance on the left is eerie. Very forboding.

I like this alot, my only thought is that it should be darker... from a strictly scientific point of view a nuclear winter would make the sky so dark the sun wouldn't be visable.. but i like the image a lot.

Would vegetation exist in nucleur winter.. I would be looking for something more desolate.. quite a nice image though
