I think many of you have considered this pic completely off-topic and on that basis, it's been heavily punished on the rates. I don't like to see pictures that clearly miss the challenge, so I would like to clarify the motivation for this picture in order to judge it in a better way.
Honestly when I saw the challenge ("right angles to strength the picture"), I thought about the right angle in the sense of "proper" or "correct" angle, not really 90º angle :), in no way... You may think that's foolish (I do!!), but is the truth and for that reason I thought of a picture in which the strength was coming from using the appropiate angle. In that sense I think the picture was definetely better than the final 3.85 rate. I was surprised that Conceptgraphics got the idea in spite of my missunderstanding, but probably it was hard to realize: I would have thought the pic was out of the challenge too !
Thanks for the comments, I realized my mistake straight away but it was too late :)

Need to work on contrast , shows off the beautiful colors but nothing else. There are nice shadows on the rings of a cd. Not the most interesting piece. |

This is a stretch for the challenge. I like the single line of colors. |

I very seldom comment on any photos. However, I think this photo is probably one of the most clever interpretations of a challenge I've seen yet. At least the way I understand it - light is reflected at a right angle to the human eye which creates color, and the challenge said the strength of you photo must be from right angles. Clearly the strength of the photo is the color. Good job. Thanks for making me think twice. |

"Create a photograph where right angles produce the strength of the image." I don't see it. |
