 This is a color photo, the sepia appearance is just due to the present colors and WB that warmed them up a bit. Adjustments made to contrast and saturation. A little cloning in the corner where the sun came blasting in too harshly. Also used a layer with diffuse glow and 70% transparency.

This is out of a a car that is at least sixty years old. I wonder how this will be perceived for something old, considering there is still so much shine on these gauges?

Thanks for the comment but I assure you I still have some to catch up with your average score and number of challenges entered :). As for this entry, hope you won't take it badly but you've done much much much better stuff than this (you know what I think of some of your work). Gave this a 5 'coz there was nothing really out of whack but neither was there anything that grabbed me. It meets the challenge despite your concern about the shine. Just wished there was something more to stop me in my tracks. It "looks" like you just snapped without thinking. I guess, the question is what did you want to say through this shot? Ok, it's old but ... what else.. Not sure the composition or the angle works either.
