Unfortunately I didn't get to vote on all entries in this challenge. This is a great shot. Full of contrasts and opposing feels. Age - or oldness - seems apparent. What really strikes me is the difference between the top and bottom half of the shot. The top seems so smooth and graceful in a way. The bottom is rough, rigid. Very nicely composed and the tight crop really helps him/her to stand out for the full frame and not just part of it. Nice job! Great image! |

Considering the multitude of entries, Sandy, not a bad finish. I like the kindness in his face. |

"Wow", what is wrong with everyone, as I don't understand how and why some really good images get such low scores, like twos and threes.
I love your connection to animals, as you can see by each and every animal image you take, that you not only connecting with them, but also love what you do..... |

The thumbnail didn't do this shot any justice whatsoever; simply brilliant photograph. |

What a wonderful entry! Straight out of National Geographic. How on earth did you get this amazing elephant to look right at you? You were able to really connect with him. Wonderful; composition, crop, subject, focus, detail, and lighting. Extremly strong image! |

Great capture - look at all those lines! This is such a nice crop too, even if I can imagine that you might get comments suggesting other ways to crop it. For me this just brings my eye directly to the elephant's eye, so we're looking right at each other. |
