A departing storm leaves a rainbow looking like it is cutting into the ocean.
Doing something experimental w/ this by heavily altering it in photoshop to get a more "artsy" effect.
General clean up (crop, levels, curves), then increased saturation and crazy USM (400%, 70 pixels, 15 levels).
Anyway, trying something crazy to see how it turns out, let me know your thoughts, is it interesting?
I'm going to put up the original as well. It is interesting the comments about the noise - I could not seem to get noise to not be visible in the clouds even without going for the artsy look. Since I couldn't make it go away, I decided to make it my friend, hence the new look to it. |

As a thumbnail this is really striking, but when blown up, it looses some of its appeal.
Maybe look at the noise levels, and see if you can reduce it somewhat. I still love it, as it has a strong "surreal" appeal to this image..... I like what you are doing, as thats is how we learn and improve..... |

Surreal, meaning I like it! The rainbow can't help but be noticed.
If you have the opportunity, perhaps you could upload the original for comparison - would be interesting.
Good "art" factor IMHO. |
