"A Moment" is a very interesting addition into the Color Studio Portrait II challenge. As usual your piece defiantly stand out from the other run of the mill portraits.
The photo itself is interesting, I think the main thing that grabs my attention is the pose. An extremely unusual pose epically for for some one dressed. Looks more like Maxim or FHM. But defiantly something original to grab attention. The coloring seems a little off to me. Is the backdrop really red or is it a pink color? It is pretty hard to tell with the lighting. The lighting on the face seems a little too strong for a portrait. I could almost see this as an alien abduction shot with the lighting on the face. I really do like the glow you have created, especially how it brings out the t-shirt. As usual you have a great shot to grab the voters attention. Keep up the good work!! |

Well, let's see Leroy. I think I wondered if this was yours for some reason.
Here are my issues:
1) The highlight on the face is quite a bit. You might get away with it, except it blends quite well with the highlight on the muslin in the back.
2) The red overall in the background is a bit too much. It looks like PP (which it may or may not be). I think perhaps you were going for the complement between the green shirt and the red which is good, but the red comes out more as a really blasted pink.
3) The pose? The dude looks a bit like he needs to be wearing an S&M outfit. I looked to the title to help me with the pose, but when I didn't see help, I just scratched my head. I'm glad it's not typical, but I didn't quite get it. |

hmm this guy here, I know I've seen him from somewhere.
Lets see... is it on one of the cereal boxes where they show missing children?
No no... or maybe from those FIB most wanted posters?
Or, from some cheese commercial, maybe? ;)
I like the treatment you used on this photo - that special glow you seem to have mastered. Good work, pal. |

Lighting on the face and shoulder is a bit too harsh. Seems the whole pictures has a pink flare, as seen on his face. |
