This is a bit more artistic than I usually do. I like the way this image has a painterly feel to it.

The cherry tree blossoms are outside the window about 6 feet away. By focusing on the blossoms the window frame and lacy curtains are a little blurry which adds to the painterly effect.

The bright spot on the bottom right is the sun shining on the curtain. I messed around with burning that to darken it some, still didn't look right so I left it as is. Almost makes the viewer wonder if you're outside looking in - at least I hope so. ;^)

Oops! This turned out to be a big mistake and I should have seen it. Image is way too busy. Should have known better by NOW! ;^) Oh well...

Not really crazy about the drapes really taking over the image like that, they pull at my attention way more than the flowers on the outside.

nice blend of different elements, the window, drap, and flowers makes a nice image over all....but i would've liked to see more of the flowers out side, or a deep enough DoF to have the draps in focus and still get the flowers clear.

This is too busy. It's hard to pick out the flowers from the lace curtains.

I think that this is a nice idea, but it just comes across too busy. Maybe raising the window lace up just a bit and cropping tighter would reduce some of the jumble. Nice focus and exposure.

Your entry looks a bit messy to me somehow. The flowers outside and the curtain inside have almost the same pattern & colors, and because of that, it looks like one blurry curtain.

Seems to have some processing on it that I don't quite like. I can't tell if it's USM or a filter. I like the lace drapes, but the flowers in the back are just too finely detailed to make an eye pleasing subject. 5
