 I have tried to show the items required to take a photo before we had cameras with rangefinders and auto exposure. We needed an exposure meter and a measuring device to set the camera controls.

I would have prefered this without the tape - it makes it look like an e-bay photo ;-)

The lighting is flat and lacks drama. I don't care for the angle of view. I would have preferred side lighting for drama and contrast and a lower angle of view to lend an feeling of prominence to the camera. With the flat lighting and the overhead view this just looks to literal---almost like a very good ebay listing.
