Hi from the Critique Club!
This image immediately evokes feelings of calm and relaxation. It paints a picture of the idylic country life. It gives you a warm glow inside.
The frame acts brilliantly as a border and draws the viewer's eye straight into the picture, creating a sense of depth and leading us straight to the horse's eye.
The colours of the wooden frame are echoed in the colours of the horse.Creating a lovely sense of balance and 'rightness'. These lovely, soft earthy tones are balanced well by the blue of the harness.
The lighting has a lovely soft glow to it, like the last moments of a sunny day. This is enhanced by the use of blur.
The blur is what split the voters, and is a subjective decision. You can only create images to please yourself and not others. Only you know what you wanted the image to convey, and I think this is exactly the way you intended the photograph to be. So well done!

Sorry but I have never been a fan of softfocus and that is also the case here, I dislike it and would have liked this image much more if it were pristine and sharp. |

Since there is not much color on your window frame, you might have, maybe channel mixer, then paint the horse back to original color and then some curves to give your frame a real worn out effect, always painting Oliver back, I think this gave it a better look. Also over sharpen the frame area. JMO. |

Nice photo. Possibly a bit soft, but that probably is intentional. I wish his eye was a bit sharper. |

Beautifully done, meets theme well... a bit soft for my taste and seems a tad overexposed on his nose, but very pretty photo... |

A little too much soft focus making this too saccharine for my taste. Lovely composition though and well exposed. |

Great looking horse. It looks like a studio shot, almost too pretty for a horse. |

very nice scene there, but I think it's overdone as far as post-processing goes. |

I think the soft focus effect here is slightly too strong, but I like how the window acts as the frame. |

Beautiful soft light, I like how the wood acts almost like a frame for this shot. |

a lovely composition. The glow/softness added is more than I think the image needed, but the warmth of the image is nice. |
