Challenge: Window Framed (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Nikon D70
Lens: Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D
Location: Copenhagen city center, Denmark
Date: Apr 21, 2006
Aperture: f2.2
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/400

Taken here in Copenhagen, on Strøget, the pedestrian street down town. The window dresser had made the lace-like frames on all the windows of the shop, and I thought it was very fitting.

unique window frame. might get hammered on the voting for it being too busy but I like it.

Nice, looks like a postcard or a wedding invitation, that is if the mannequins were getting married :)

I really like the colors in this framed shot, but the frilly border is too much for me. Makes a very nice photo a little too busy.

Much too busy. The "framing", while a part of the window, really is the dominant feature, rather than what is framed.

Nice choice for this challenge and the saturation of the colors, especially the blue, is very pleasing in this shot.

Good color and framing. Subject doesn't really grab me, but the colors do. 6

I should give a more technical analysis but I'll mostly say this... Nicely done. :) It looks like you did cloning or something inside the lacy framing that you did not do outside it. The left shoulder of the left manequin has some fuzziness on the black that it should not have. The right shoulder of the right

There is definitely something about mannequins that intrigues, isn't there? This shot doesn't. I'm afraid, add anything to my sense of what that is, but I can't help but sense that its fertaile territory. Photographically, your framing is interesting, but it would perhaps be more relevant to the apparent point of your title if you had included a touch more of the scene?

The first word I think of when I see this is "quaint" :)
