::: Critique Club :::
Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
Interesting to do a critique on your image but it is difficult if you don't give us any information in your photographers comments. When we do a critique, we go past just the photographic result, that's what voters comments do. The critique looks at what you were trying to achieve, how you wanted it to look and what issues you had in getting the image captured and ready for voting. On so many of your pictures you have a story to tell .. but one some you don't. That story helps when doing critiques. :)
First Impression - the most important one:
its a really warm picture .. the tones bring that really to the fore.
Composition:
Thirds works here .. I really like how you choose not to use the whole window pane set ..and just the quater circle image.
Subject:
Meets the challenge well.
Technical (Colour and light):
These work well for the shot.
To grow its vote?:
from the cvoting and comments this is an above average picture, but it didn't really grab the viewer ... in this sort of challenge .. the veiwer needs to be taken into the scene .. almost become part of it ... you will see that in the winninn shots.
Summary:
Well done, a solid shot. Keep it up and keep improving.
If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via the PM system.
Cheers

Nice warmth and subject choice. Highlights on the right are too hot. Good job. 9 |

Interesting composition... I find myself wondering what the point is, Im guessing by the title that everything else is gone and only this is left... I personally would have left something seemingly more sentimental behind... colors and lighting are good, technically well done |

The lighting and choice of window are very nice. Not as sure about the choice of object, though. |

So simple, yet so perfect. Love the angle, the content of your subject, and the perfect crop IMHO. It is just a weeeeeee bit too dark for my eye, but only a weeeeee bit. 7 |

I would like to see the whole frame or less of it (crop of on the right side) ... nice frame you found. |

The light on the right side detracts from the image
Woodgrain is nice |

Lovely. Simple is best describes the attitude of this shot. Wonderful tones and the wisk broom - hard to believe such a minimal shot is so appealing. 8 |
