Actually this was not a stuffed animal. The shot was taken spur-of-the-moment of a small figurine sitting on the shelf of my screened-in front porch, so the figurine is the cat plus the flower. My decision to submit this was last moment change of challenges. I originally decided to submit to the other challenge - Complimentary colors. I didn't like my image that much - a rose against the leafy background. I'm still glad that I changed challenges as I don't think it would have worked. Maybe it worked for me because I knew what I'd done. |

The colors work well in this photograph, but there is a lot going on. The purple background works great, but the screen is distracting. Also, I'm not sure if the main subject is the flower or the stuffed animal. I think either would have been better on its own. If the idea was to have the animal hold the flower, then the flower is probably oversized.
