 Photographed a chalkware Virgin in front of a pale blue sheet with a desk lamp placed in various strategic positions. I used a tripod. For this image I overexposed, setting my EV to +2.0. I had other versions that I underexposed. I inverted the image and than played with curves and color balance. When I thought of what would make a good negative image I immediately thought of this statue which I had used in a still-life for the Something Old II challenge (which I didn't use). I had a few versions I liked, including some b&w and it was hard to pick. I predict I'm going to tank on this one. :D

I think you captured the iconic quality of the Madonna very nicely. I gave this a 6 but really it was a 6 and a half... ;)

Too dark, the subjet would have been better if it have not the dark overexposed areas around the edges. Nice colors though.
