Greetings from the Critique Club -

I will start off by saying that perosnally I think your subject is great.

Beyond that there are some issues. The cross itself seems a bit out of focus. Its outside edges just arent crisp. And the detail inside is lacking as well. I think some light dodging and burning could have brought out the inside edges to make them more pronounced giving the cross more dimension and interest. Maybe if you had caught it earlier in the day to have the sunlight shining right on the cross would have helped.

The foreground is a bit dark and murky. Either lightening up just the foreground or even cropping most of it out with have given you a better focus on the cross I believe.

The off centered position of the cross works really well and I like the colors and clouds in the sky. With some slight adjustments in time of day and postprocessing I think this shot would have done much better. Keep plugging away, take lots of pics and play with your photoshop and you will be seeing higher scores very quick. I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Nice sky. Foreground is very dark, though. You can adjust its exposure by extracting that part and increasing brightness, as well as doing a bit of dodging. The other choice is to not have so much foreground, since its insertion into the composition (and at such a large amount0 should be better exposed.

Nice rule of thirds. Sky is fantastic. I whish that the grass would be a little bit brighter. Good luck -7-

I like the shape of the hill and the wispy clouds, but this photo could use more interest or more to look at. The cross is kind of plain and at this angle and in this light does not seem particularly special to me.

I love the composition of this shot however I do feel the colours are lacking.
