Sorry but I don't like to critique a person's image when s/he has yet to find any comments helpful. I'll reserve my critique until a later date.
Cheers - Phil

nice portrait, but probably the wrong challenge. sure, this probably could make the cover of a fashion magazine, but there's a HUGE difference between portraiture and photojournalism... |

Nice portrait and I gave it a good score, but has little to do with Photo Journalism IMO. |

nice portrait, not photojournalism in the least. its posed, shes looking at the camera, no story etc. |

I cant deny this is a superb portrait shot but what jounalistic story is it telling me? I want to vote high for the photographic technique and skill but low for the "photojurnalism" bit. Not normally a stickler for the rules I'm feeling guilty leaving a middle, cop out score of 5, way lower than the technical merits of the photo deserve. Sorry, I love the shot.
CAme back to this and realised this was supposed to be the cover of Elle. Upped to a 9 |

I'm wavering on this one between I really like it and it bothers me. Perhaps that's a sign of a good journalistic shot. I think it is because her right eye is the sharpest point of focus and it seems to be following me, creeping me out a tiny bit! It does look like something we'd see in a fashion mag, but I think that single point of focus needs to be massaged just a bit. |

More of a glamour/beauty shot than a photojournalistic one. Beautifully done, though! |

nice portrait of a beautiful model but, this has nothing at all to do with photojournalism |

It doesn't seem like the typical photojournalistic shot, but it certainly could be on the cover of ELLE. Good job and 10 |

cant really see this as meeting the photojournalism title of the challenge. |

Don't like the red patch in the top corner ... LOVE everything else about this. The pale greens and pinks sit back and let that beautiful face take center stage. Superb.

Before I even saw the title I knew this was for a glamour magazine. The makeup, clothing, lighting, composition all work well. |

great portrait ... very soft colors are making this photo very good
i dont like the red part in top left corner, it probably could be cloned out |

WOW this would have been a top ten in the color portrait challenge possible a ribbon but in this challenge I think it will suffer still a fantastic image and a 10 from me. |

There is a lot of noise in her right eye, but I really like the pose and the lighting. |

A pretty model. Some hairs out of place though. The position of her hands makes the shot (for me). |

She's pretty. BUT, where's the news? I guess you were going for the ELLE magazine look? In that case, that's glamor photography, not journalism. |

Just going on the challenge, I don't see how it works. So my score has to be lower. This is a nice head shot for a models portfolio. |

Didn't we just have a portrait challenge? Beautiful shot, but IMO that challenge is over. |

this shot is lovely. the red bit of the background in the top left corner is a bit distracting, I like the softness and even though the well structured skin. good one. I hope DPCers will see the photojournalism in this one. Good luck |

Absolutely stunning, love it. However, I see this as a portrait rather than photo journalism, so loses a little as DNMC. |

NOt photojournalism in the sense I would think but more a fashion photo. Still, well done and she is lovely!!! Nice lighting and the skin and eyes are very pretty. |
