| This has the most emotion of the group. I personally would like to compare this version with a crisp unsoftened stark version. Then decide which I liked best. |

| A slight feeling of desolation. If you were able to put the subject further away from view it would help more with the feeling. The picture is too lit to represent desolation, but pushing further back should help. |

| Looks like he's just stepped out of a BMW - he's so clean and cool! I love the textures but the set-up doesn't wash with me. If this was a genuine candid shot then maybe an [8], but this gets a [4] from me. |

| It would have been more effective if he had worn or dirtier clothing on here. I don't think this is supposed to be a homeless man, just someone hopeless. Very nicely done. |

| nice! love the colors and composition. bottom crop a bit tight. another option would be to move farther back so that you really get a sense of the isolation and space. |

| This is an example of a picture where I wish there was NOT the 150k limit to file size which I believe to be the great equalizer in the contest. I would l love to see the detail of the person in the original. Still a very good job of conveying the feeling even within the constraints of the contest rules. |

I like this idea very much. My first comment would be that, because the model's hair is black, the choice of black clothes makes it hard for me to make out his bowed head - and I think it would be stronger if I could make it out. Nice choice for environment and clever use of the rusted colours as well as the strong lines and angles.

| I like it, but the hands, feet, clothes... all to clean for the surroundings. Still perfect location, and great positioning. |
