I like the light at the time of day at which you made this picture. The evening light, being low, helps to provide modeling to the buildings making them stand out. I would like to see the horizon appear straighter and either lower or higher in the composition rather than so close to the center. (As an aside, there seems to be a white spot in the sky which does not appear to be a cloud --- upper right side. I know ... no spot editing ... but you might want to blow out the interior of your D100. I do it almost every time I change lenses.) The evening light also gave you a lower contrast range overall and helped you capture detail in most of the shadowed areas along with the brighter areas. That's always nice to see.
Without the title, there is no indication of the appropriateness to the challenge although one could surmise that you must have been inside SOMETHING and you were obviously looking out. Although I don't think it affected how I scored your picture, it just isn't as obvious as some of the others in the challenge.

Stunning view taken at a great time of day. Very good, so not much to criticise really. It's a very literal take on the challenge so not particularly imaginitive but that doesn't matter here. [7] |

Personally, the sea with the red cranes ruins this picture. Perhaps a tighter crop on the buildings with the nice colours? And the sky could have done with more color. Well done, Good try =) |

I'm not a big fan of cityscapes in general, but this is a very nice shot. I love the sunlight falling on the buildings and you have just the right amount of sky in the photo. Nice job! |

If it wasn't for your title I wouldn't connect with the challenge from this shot. It would have helped if there were some perspective of being inside and looking out. |

the "inside looking out" element doesn't come out here clearly IMHO |
