 There are so many flowers and so many complaints about flowers here that this was a fun cliché to pick. I took this with the flower in a brightly lit windowsill. Adjustments in Photoshop: Levels, curves, highlights / shadows, sharpen, and a teeny bit of Neat Image.

Thank you very much for all the comments! This is a personal best, which is funny since I made the picture half jokingly, after reading a bunch of posts about there being too many flowers :-) That's why in my mind, the saying fit the image.

Nice photo, but I just don't see how it embodies the cliche you've chosen. I would have guessed something like "Good Day, Sunshine" or something sunny and fresh and optimistic, not anything so bitterly jaded.

Fantastic colours in this one, the shaded petals are great next to the highlighted ones. I would of just liked it to be centered for symetry.
