I like this image! I love the sunlight and shadows that really define the shapes. I love the DOF and the pattern it gives in the background! The only thing distracting to me is the stem and what can you do about that? hehe I have tried this 'weed' shot and got blurry images from the wind.
Natures patterns can be really interesting.

Yes I know the crop is bad. The camera is a toy (Point and shoot auto everything, can't really see the screen on a bright day.) Couldn't tell the shot was even interesting till I got home, Never had another sunny day to reshoot.
Border was an attempt to briing the bright green, right center, in line with the grey green tonse of the background. |

I wish I could see the top part of the seed capsule here, cutting off those tips detracts from the piece as a whole. The compostition here isn't wonderful either. you have nothing on the bottom to balance what's going on in the top. Interesting subject though. |

The gentler colours and contrast fit the subject nicely and I like the repetition not only in the one image, but in the inclusion of the second. Not a fan of the border, though. |

I would have liked it better if the subject would have stood out from the background. |

crop on top looks accidentally, green of frame doesn't match, but good DOF. like how the other plants are still visible |

The top of the focused "pinwheel" is cut off. I'd rather see the whole thing. |
