My daughter, Mikayla, out with her dad on a little photo safari.
Converted from RAW with RSE, straighten, levels, convert to grayscale with channel mixer (about red 38%, blue 62%, I think), use HSL to give sepia tint (about 20, 25, +6, again, "I think"), USM, resize, USM, save for Web.
If I could have, I would have maybe included her feet, and cloned out the little dot of light at her chin. Hopefully, the fence will provide enough rhythm for this composition. |

Very lovely picture, what an adorable little girl! Not a particularly creative take on the theme though. Other than that Bravo! |

Good capture. I don't really like the sepia tone in this one though. It makes it feel to dull for me. - 5 |

A beautiful child. IMO the child is the primary focus of the photo pushing the rhythm of the fence out of importance. Maybe if the pattern of the fence led to the child and not away the visual affect might have been stronger. Either way it is a lovely photograph. |

I think she wants a pony! :) I like the sepia for this. Composition is nice too. |

Poster material. Love the messed up hair of the little girl, as she holds on to the rhytmic pattern of the fence. Great choice of tonal application. |

A very pleasing photograph. The repetition of lines, and the composition where the fence runs from one corner of the frame to the diagonal opposite creates directional movement > visual rhythm.
The cute little girl enhances your theme, because I can actually see her following along the fence line... as kids tend to do. Also she is so small in relation to surrounding contrasts and shapes, it makes a stronger visual statement. |

I like the symbolism. The tones are very good as well. |

It's a portrait to so great an extent as to detract from the effect of the rhythmic elements. I think I'd like to see her smaller for the context, with the top of the post behind her included in the picture. Maybe a bit more included out to the left as well, like a time-line that would fit your title. Lovely model. |
