While I hope this image does well, I hope more than anything that this makes some people think.
I love the outdoors, camping, fishing, etc...and this really bugs me when I see fellow "outdoorsmen" leaving behind a mess. This pile of fishing line was just left on the ground on the riverbank. There was a garbage can 20 feet away!

On a personal note, first, I totally agree. I love to fish (used to go a lot more than I do now) and I have grown up around sportsmen all my life. It galls me how some people use and abuse the very environment that gives them pleasure. Fishing line wads like this really disturb me because that stuff is so darn strong and dangerous to any animal that gets wrapped up in it. oh yea, you did throw it away didn't you? ;)
As a photograph, my first impression is that it technically well done and the composition does a good job at contrasting the line with the grass showing that the line is obviously somewhere it does not belong.
Technically, the colors are good and I think you have done a really good job of capturing the line without it "artifacting" or having weird patterns of light in it.
As a picture there isn't anything I can offer to really change about it. It makes a statement, and it makes it well. Perhaps for this challenge, a dead fish or something would've given it more impact, but I don't suppose that was possible.
Best to ya in future challenges!

Excellent photo. I also get upset about all the debris. |

Very well executed shot and a title that makes it fit the topic spot on; shame the voters didn't score it higher, I did. |

I agve you a 7 because it's a beautiful photo, but if you seriously wanted to make a movie about littering you'd make it much less pleasing to the eye ;0)
ps- I agree. |

You have taken a very powerful photo... I have photos of seagulls with their legs dying as the fishing line cuts off circulation... photos of fishing hooks and lures in the breast of a seagull...... thank you |

i do not find this photo aethestically pleasing, but that gets the message across. indeed, we have to care for our Earth.
as a photo, though, it could be more visually interesting. perhaps a different angle/lighting would be more dramatic. |

Excellent shot and excellent title. The lighting on the nylon is perfect, it glows, has depth. Then the grass becomes visible. The colour is great and its sharp |

a movie about littering? not a very interesting movie, but a good poster! The direct interrogative title makes it one of the best titles of the challenge. |

I can't see clearly what's the main subject of this photo/movie, but perhaps that's just me ;) |
