This is one of those images that I really like to look at and wonder how to make it better. So indulge me while I try... YOu have a great subject here with what appears to be a lonely cabin set in the middle of nowhere. I wonder if - by concentrating on just the cabin, without the shrubbery in front, turning off that light to the back of the cabin, you could make the lighted cabin a sort of welcoming beacon with the forest behind it. Obviously you were there, and I wasn't and you know the topography you had to deal with. So, I guess it boils down to this advice: Check out all the possibilities when confronted with such an exceptional opportunity as you have above. |

I love the silhouette of the trees against the night sky. :) I think this shot could have been better if the lights in the foreground were off and the glow from inside the cabin was a warmer tone (i.e. reddish) to contrast with the night sky. |
