hmm.. nice shot, I wasn't able to vote on this challenge (just got a membership), but I really like your idea, the literal interpretation of the writer's mind as his environment is awesome, the only thing to me is that it seems like the focus is on the typewriter whereas I would like his face to be sharper, great composition and colors, etc, nice work. I would have given it an 8 or 9. (I like how the background is separated from the writer, it gives that sense of dreamingness or thinking, that the background is his mind...) |

Very interesting take. I touch to literal for me, but vreative. It'd be nice if he had some paper in his typewriter |

Nice but somehow the lighting on the man and the backround don´t seem to match, like he´s sitting in front of a printed backround, same goes for the DOF. I have done similar shots, just look at my "people" folder in my portfolio so I am not saying that is bad that he doesn´t "match" the backround but here it somehow rubs me off as unnatural. Don´t get me wrong, it´s a nice shot so I gave it a 6. |

I like the bizarre quality of this shot.. it's very well photographed and the model's expression is one that suits the title....on the other hand I am having difficulty seeing how it meets the challenge (an abstract portrayal of writer's block maybe?) ... but I only subtract one point for that... :) |

Really great composition and concept. If you dodged the sky a bit this would be a ten in my book. |

I love the title and the environment which are complimented by good composition and DOF. I'm bothered by what appears to be slight loss of sharpness around his mouth and am wondering if this was sharpened after reduction |

Not familiar with the saying, but like the photo. The concept gets one thinking. |
