This has great potential. The number of comments seem to agree. It's just a matter of minor adjustments to make it more popular. Keep up the good work. |

Looks like too much Neat Image has been applied here as there is very little detail left in the girl's skin . When going for the soft focus look, the eyes should be kept sharp. Her eyes do not look sharp, but smoothed out too much as the rest of her is. Something about her expression just does not fit here either - perhaps it is the way she is looking off into a distance and smiling at a time you would expect to see her focused on a serious task. I find the bunched up fabric behind her to be distracting. It makes the scene look sloppy. |

This is a great photograph! Tells a life story for sure. The only negative I see is the distracting blanket behind the adorable model. |

Sorry but the selective desat is just not appealing to me, personally I would have liked this shot heaps better if it were all in color or all b/w. |

Beautiful child and wonderful idea to show her in this environment. The selective desat seems arbitrary because it moves the eye away from the main focus ( her beautiful face and the needle). |

The idea is great but too many background distractions |

Perhaps, making it plain enough that she is injecting herself without having to put that in the title would make a more effective photograph. You selective de-sat actually works against what your title suggests is the intent of this image, dragging the attention to completely the wrong place on the figure. It has potential though, this shot - but I don't think it succeeds; and that de-sat remains mystifying. |

the selective desaturation is distracting (though I admit I almost never like it). good portrait otherwise. |

Nice idea, and has emotional impact due to the subject. I don't particularly care for the bandaid in color. Also the blanket (?) in the background is distracting. |

The title should not need the parenthetical information. If she were looking at the needle, rather than straight up at the camera, the injection would be obvious enough to avoid having to say what she's doing. It would also look a lot more natural. |

Cute and good message. The desat is subtle and only apparent whenyou study the picture. Unfortunately the OOF area around her feet are going to cost you votes |
