if it was only depending on me, i would even not make people pay for my picture, but... i'm not a member on this site, only a registered user, and thus i don't have access to dpcprints! So the 'chances' to have it as a print are very very thin... sorry :) ! Anyway, there are tons of better bird pictures than mine on DPC, and i guess that many of them are available on dpcprints, have a look at it !

thanks for your comments !!

so your answer is TROLLS. People who don't even take a look at the pictures and who've found a good way to share their frustration...

ehhe... OF COURSE I'm excited today, jerowe !! I avow that i expected to get a good final mark with this picture, but with all my bad previous 'experiences' on DPC, i didn't believe i could win a day! I want to congratulate metatate, MacClavey and above all manic35 who's been personally targeted by hell ugly trolls in this competition. To answer your question Yanko, the green background is almost the original color of my garden grass, i just set the highest saturation level available on my camera. And to all of you, thanks a LOT for all your encouraging (and also upcoming) comments!

I dedicate this picture to my crusty Shui Ling and to another little bird that started a very difficult and short life...

Antoine.

Great photo, and a great capture as well.....
05/30/2006 08:51:48 AM
Pic is brilliant but i would have preferred a different colour for the background.
05/30/2006 03:31:41 AM

05/29/2006 11:57:07 PM

05/29/2006 07:09:20 PM
Very clear and at the right moment
05/29/2006 12:41:37 PM
Wow! What a great capture. Either you waited for a long time for this, or got very lucky in your timing! Either way, great job! 10
05/29/2006 11:49:57 AM
I don't like the white border but a very great shot.
05/28/2006 05:45:46 PM
beautiful capture!
05/28/2006 07:52:33 AM
This is utterly, totally brilliant. Perfect for this challenge. I love the colours, and the clarity. The crop is quite tight - a little more space at the top and including all the tail feathers would enhance it even more I think. In spite of that, this is definitely one of the best entries in this challenge - a ribbon winner I think.
05/27/2006 01:58:40 PM
Sharp, crisp shot!
05/27/2006 12:12:54 AM
This is s great image and works very well for this challenge. Not sure I like the green background though.
05/26/2006 09:04:24 PM
stark. excellent
05/26/2006 04:08:22 PM
Very crisp. Excellent color.
05/26/2006 02:18:46 PM
Wow, amazing shot. The crop, the colours, the focus, everything is bang on.
I hope this does really well, it definately deserves it.

One of my top 3 so far. Well done.
05/26/2006 12:16:30 PM
Wonderful sharpness and DOF. I wish there were a little more room above his head so he wasn't so cramped against the top fo the frame. Congrats, these little guys are quick.
05/26/2006 06:13:50 AM
good comp, great detail and DOF; hope, this kind of framing is allowed - voting as is - 8
05/26/2006 12:37:24 AM
Excellent detail.
05/25/2006 07:48:29 PM
Wow - you caught it alright! - great details. 8
05/25/2006 06:28:44 PM
The quality of thephoto aloneis worth a high vote- and I can buy the "success" aspect - but the picture itself is great.
05/25/2006 05:43:24 PM
I like this very much
05/25/2006 04:57:08 PM
And well caught!
05/25/2006 04:26:11 PM
Perfect!!! Best photo in the bunch!
The green of the background compliments the green tone to the chickadees feathers and the green in the worm and the beige of the clothe compliments all the lighter areas of the bird. I love the title, too, because you can look at it from two points of view- thats probably what the bird is thinking, and thats what the photographer is thinking at the same time. What a fantasic shot! Please make this a print if you can :)
05/25/2006 04:06:39 PM
This is beautiful. Great detail of this bird and it's capture. I think I would like to see it with the bottom cropped off, the white of the perch kind of takes away from the overall presentation.
05/25/2006 02:34:10 PM
gorgeous!
05/25/2006 02:30:09 PM
I would love to get a photo like this ... will be back after the challenge to see what camera etc 10/10
