Cute idea, I was interested to see the spelling errors were deliberate, nice attention to detail!

There is one thing I have not seen in the comments below that could help you earn a better score next time. The image looks pixellated or blocky. This is because it has been compressed too much, the image is only 59kb. You are allowed to use upto 150kb, its best to use most or all of this. In Photoshop use "save for web" there is a little triangle next to the preset dropdown (top right) - click on it. Select optimise to file size - type in 150 - click done!

Most other software doesn't have this, try saving at 9 out of 10 quality, check the filesize and resave with a lower quality if needed.

I'm sure doing this and turning the date stamp off will help you score higher. The date is encoded in the picture file anyway so most people leave the date stamp off permanently, you can check the date by looking at image properties.

Good luck!

A creative, but awfully disturbing idea. It doesn't make for a very visually interesting picture either.

Oh....!

Why the date!? It is so annoying to have the bright datestamp there that I can't evaluate the rest of the photo - my eyes keep getting drawn there constantly.

Heh although one could find many flaws in this picture, the contrast the date showing and the color, it is funny and that should never be underestimated;-)

This would have been a really great shot but you have your time stamp on, you really do need to turn it off for challenges.

Love the idea though

I nearly gave it 10 for spelling and grammer

A bit too contrived, although it does fit the challenge. Try the opposite, attach the note to child that says "We'll pay you to take him back!"

Date stamp?

LOL!

Cute... lol

I like the note but can't help thinking it would have looked better on something interesting.

This is pretty bad.....is it a joke?!
06/08/2006 04:19:27 PM
Would have been much more effective without the date stamp.

hum um... don't know.... !!!

cute idea, but the date makes it seem so snap-shot.

The photo is rather plain. THere is a picture of a note tacked to a board. It's a basic photo. YOu may also want to take the date off the photo. I do like the idea of having words mispelled in the letter...it adds to the PS portion of the letter.

Being a dad, this is a bit creepy. As a photo, it would be better if we saw a human element here--maybe someone holding the note, or finding it where they expected to find the kids. You're going to want to turn off the date stamp on your camera if you want to score well in challenges.

Clever idea...

what with the date stamp
