This is in an unfinished mansion near my home. This building would have been a really luxurious villa, unfortunately it's owners company went bankrupt. I guess the thing is going to stand there until it slowly falls apart.
The photograph was inspired by a short story by my fellow student Michelle Buithenuis. The story is about a girl who starts meeting the wrong people and loses all she had. The setting should represent her state of mind somehow. Both image and prose will be published side by side in the next edition of our student magazine.

Hey there from the Critique Club

Camera Work/Technical: This looks like an image that it technically flawless, unfortunately it is hard to tell at the size that it is presented. I like the dirty feel that you gave the image with post-processing, and I'd like to see you post both how you did it, as well as a larger version of it.

Lighting: Whether genuine lighting or post-precessing, this lighting is wonderful. I really like the isolated feel that you gave to your subject.

Composition/Content: Very nice, and the description in your comments made it even better. There are some really nice elements that lead the viewer around the frame, all the while not competing too strongly with the subject.

My Opinion: The score suffered from the size constraints. Unfortunately, I think we needed to see even more of the structure to give it more of an empty feeling.

Nice strong mood. I do not feel the emptiness of the room because such a small part of it is shown.

Elvi? Very cool image - love the processing and the focus impressed upon the viewer. I'll be interested to read how this was achieved. Interesting shot on a number of levels. Well done.

The stark lighting and contrast add to the impact of the image. In my view there are two subjects depicted in the room.... The rubble and the model. Nice emotive image, though. I like it.
