I took this series in an empty one room house with no electricity but lots of dirt on the floors hence the dirty feet. I liked the old time, colonial feel to it.

Hey there from the Critique Club

Camera Work/Technical: Great focus on the flooring and the door detail, but the highlights make it difficult to determine if the model is crisp or not. Your coloring and tones are terrific, suggesting an appropriately chosen white balance.

Lighting: I do like the tones that your lighting created inside the room, but I think that the window is a bit harsh. I think that the overexposure takes away detail from an obviously interesting model.

Composition/Content: The centered composition works nicely, while the flooring slowly draws the viewer into the image. Once at the model, the window light competes too strongly for the viewer's attention.

My Opinion: You did a wonderful job meeting the challenge, and I think that this one scored pretty close to its potential as it is. With just a little less exposure on that door window, I think that this one would have been up there near the top 10.

Knew this was yours Judi. Tastefully done as always and deserving of a bit better score IMO.

Judi, I am amazed that this challenge entry didn't score a top 10 finish. There were at least 12 photos that I scored 5 or less that finished above yours. Sometimes I just shake my head and say "hmmmm".
I still love your entry and am adding to my favorites.

Wish it was windy. Obviously won't comment on the body since it's probably not the intent (although it's appreciated greatly). Window is a little blown which takes away from the subject, but the lighting in the room is a nice effect.

I'm sure you are aware of how beautiful your body is, and how to use it to full photographical effect. I only wish that you've composed it so that there wasn't that streak of light through your crotch. I had mixed feelings about it, and finally decided against it. Yes, this way it reveals just a little bit more than without it, but I would have liked it the same even with just a hint of the shape.

Technically, the whole image has a dreamy look to it, the aura around you and the scarf brings out the emotions. Scarf matches the hair color, which is a nice touch. The light in the window is a tad too bright, but since any shorter exposure would have lost all the details of the floor, this is probably the best you could do given the circumstances.

Good luck with the score! (with a bump to 9)

Nothing like "sex sells", eh? I'm not voting, but good luck. Personally, I wouldn't score this much more than average because the image is going for sex appeal more than photograpic quality. JMO of course. ;^)

Love this photo. The pose in particular really appeals to me. Damn that scarf! :-) If there is anything wrong technically with this I just don't care. 10

Romantic and beautiful, but I do not feel the emptiness of the room because such a small part of it is shown.

Judi? If not, please take it as the compliment it was intended to be. ;-) Great shot - love the comp & color tones. Seems like there may be a very slight tilt down to the right, but it may be that I need to put another matchbook under that corner of my laptop... (ha) Seriously, outstanding photo. I really like it. Well done and good luck - bumping up.

Perfectly good image for me. I like the lighting and composition. Only one little thing: I̢۪d like to see a little more of an empty room for this particular challenge. 9 from me and good luck.

Hmmm the door upright bisects the figure, just feel that maybe another time of day to reduce the over exposed window just feel that there is a image here but not this one it just misses the mark for me

Now this I like! The pose is striking as well as the contrast, colors, and dramatic lighting. My pick for a top 10 finish.

Very nice. I like that raw sensuality in this. The lighting on the floor could be brighter, IMO. If you dodged that area just a little bit that would make for a nice visual that leads your eyes upward.
