Thanks for the kind words! I agree that its over noise reduced and the lighting was not the best. The fact is that I wasnt even thinking of the challenge when I took this picture. I had taken a different picture to use in the green challange but it hadnt come out. This was the only other thing green I had taken. Had I planned the shot better I would have zoomed in much closer and worked at a better composition. As it was I had to crop so much of it that the final image was incredibly noisy and needed some extra passes, which obliterated some of the detail. A great learning experience tho, the words of my high school photography teacher still ringing in my ears; "fill the frame". Now they actually have meaning for me, Photoshop cant fix everything ;) |

This is a great shot, and even with the 6+ score, I think you were robbed. The composition is interesting, especially with the contrast between the curves in the snake and the stright edges in the leaves. The lighting is a touch harsh in a few spots, but overall, it's a great capture. |

Yeah, creepy shot. I did not see it right away. Very well done...great colors and wonderful nature-reptile image. |

Creepy. I'm not a fan of snakes, but I like this shot - the S-bend of it's body is such a bold shape in the photograph. Perhaps a smaller aperture to increase the depth of field so that the S-curve was in sharp focus too? |

Good color depth on how the green tones of the leaves match the greens of the snake. I like the juxtaposition of the straight branches with the curve of the snake as well - good contrasting lines. I might have lightened the levels on the shadows a bit to make the underside of the snakes head not quite so dark, but that's just me - nice capture. |

Great capture/photo. I like the comp and the DOF. Nice clarity and the camouflage adds to the interest. |

Great DOF and awesome nature shot. I like how the snakes body whips to the side like it does here |

Looks dangerous. I wonder what it would look like with a black backdrop. I wouldn't of put it there, but its neat to wonder. lol. Nice job. GL. |

It looks like a lot of detail was stripped out of the leaves, like too much Neat Image? |
