Yes, this is Papaya. I got to dogsit for my favorite preacher & wife's pooch again this afternoon and took advantage of the time by shooting some more pix! (I think they've forgiven me for the last ones...) HA

PP included:
contrast, levels, curves, Mr. Contrast filter, color sat, dodge/burn, save for Web.

Post Challenge:
Ya know, it didn't even occur to me to remove her lead. I really should have. She just always has it on. I guess that's where familiarity with the subject can be a hinderance. ;-) Thanks for the constructive comments and the favorites! Papaya is such a sweet & SMART girl! I may try to clone out her leash and post a version without it.

BTW: I used some of Joey's techniques form his DVD to edit this shot. I was pleased with how it turned out. I had to translate them to MS Digital Image Pro, but I think I managed to get the basics covered!

Love this one. I don't get the challenge rules and they obviously didn't get your meaning here! MMM

Awesome job Jimmy!!!! This was one of my favorites!!! Isn't that the pup in Kelly's magazine cover photo??? Very well chosen :)

This should have been on the front page tho in my opinion!!!

Very nice, but could have been much nicer without the leash. Good lighting, composition and focus. He looks so sad :-(

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is one of SJ. And otherwise you have exact the same dog and chain :P ( don't know if that's the right word for that thing on his neck ).

Anyway, I like this one. Great room and I love the colors. I like the expression on his face. One thing I don't like in this one is that you cut off his body. It looks kind of weird. Sometimes crops like this look good and sometimes they don't.

Love those big eyes...but the image would have been better without the lead.

Wonderful colours and the expression is perfect. I would love to see this with the leash cloned out.

Good strong mood. It's hard to feel the emptiness of the room because such a small part of it is shown.

excellent idea. image would have been strong had the dog been in a sit, facing away from the camera, and if you hadn't shot it from an standing eye-level perspective.

Awwwww. ..look at those sad eyes! I love the photo because my heart always melts over sweet dog photos. I hope he isn't really as lonely and sad as he looks here tho. . .My guess tho that he isn't :)

probably my favorite of the challenge. I would get the same look from my dog if I stuck him in a room like this. looks a little over sharpened but I love the tones. 9

Great photo. I find the leash and it's shadow draw my eye away from the subject, however. Without that minor detail, would be a 10

Man, what a stand out. His eyes are so telling. You want to say "It's ok, fella." Great mood. The lighting is killer. Hope that dog got a treat after the shoot. ;~D
