I also love the water droplets, and feel it would have looked so much better if you used a tighter crop, to take out some of the unnecessary grayish background.
Maybe a square crop to remove the left side or a portrait format, to remove both parts of the left and also right side.
Just look at the focused area, and remove whats not necessary.
Play around with crops and this is what I do.
I often take three or four different crops of the same image many times until I get the one I like.
If this was taken inside maybe adding a greenery or colorful backdrop, with leaves, would also have helped to make this more pleasing to the eye.
I hope this helps, as I really like those water droplets very much.

Aye! I love water drops! Looks like you took this inside and make a studio shoot (guessing by the background) Still cool though. |
