Nice choice of subject, and I like the slightly off-center composition. The lighting's a bit bright, and focus seems to be on the weeds in the foreground rather than the tractor, however. |

The subject fits the challenge but it is a bit out of focus and over exposed. I would prefer a tighter shot of the tractor |

My first issue with this photo is the very obviously tilted horizon. It does help to keep an eye on your background during actually taking the photo. I realize this is easily correctable with editing software, but for this challenge, it's all in the eye. Second, the colors seem really muted. Kind of muddy. Looks like it was just too bright of a day for your camera to handle it. The sky is totally whited out, and the colors of the tractor and surroundings are dulled quite a bit. Focus seems ok. I might have liked to have seen a different angle on the tractor as well. Side on, dead center of the photo doesn't really draw me in and hold me there. I think maybe a different time of day, or different day all together would have made a dramatic difference with this shot. ~Heather~ |

a little bright...i can tell by the shadow that you were taking in the direction of the sun...maybe try it with the sun more to your back. I also might either center the tractor more or give some negative space in front of it instead of behind. Comments aside, it's a cool picture and a nice subject. |

Great shot, it seems a bit over exposed and the top third is washed out. With my camera on a bright day I always adjust the exposure. |

I'm not sure if you were going for a soft light look or not, but this viewer's impression is that it's simply overexposed. I think if the subject wasn't parrallel to the camera that would help. Maybe an angled shot from the left looking from back to frong would have been better. Might have tried this early in the morning or just before dusk for better lighting. |

I love this truck. Immediately we know that this is a really old machine from the past.
However, the sun got into the camera and has created this pale tinge across most of the picture and that red dot. Next time, perhaps you could angle you camera differently or put on a sunshade?
I also feel that this great tractor is wasted from a plain side view. Next time, get a little more adventurous and experiment from lots of angles! |

Oh man, you really need a polarizing filter on your camera. |

Color is washed out somewhat, but that definitely is an olde tractor. |
