Challenge Entry No. 391

Wow! The entries are staggering! I just hope to finish above a 6 and be in the top 85%. Let's see.

Shot in RAW and converted using RSE. Bumped the colors and desaturated leaving only the greens and yellow. Use color balance to create the reddish duotone tint. Ran through another pass at desaturation this time bumping up yellows and greens. Cropped to size with 10 pixel border. Ran through NI and Sharpened.

The middle tree bugs the heck out of me but I couldn't do anything since it was in front of the the granite formation that I wanted to frame. This image means so much to me as it was shot at Yosemite National Park. It was indeed a beautiful weekend spent with someone special.

** Critique Club **

What? You should be a member of the club and not requesting critiques :)

Very vibrant green colors, the selective saturation (?) makes me concentrate on the subject which is relevant to the theme here. You have also captured the reflection very well.

I would crop the top 20% or even 25% of the image and just stop at the rocks as the sky doesn't add to the picture, or rather distracts. I think the reason you still kept them was to avoid the line being in the center.
A second look and I still think I will go with removing top 20% and making the line go at about 40% of the frame.

Wow. Very nice lines. Even despite the square crop, the vertical lines of the trees and peaks, mirrored in the water, give a real feeling of height and space to the shot.
Only thing I would have preferred was colour in the backdrop - a nice blue sky.

The sky is blown out and it could do with a polarizer, but it's definitelya perfect location for a potentially great shot. High marks for originality in this challenge.

This is a beautiful shot, I love the separation of colors but would have liked to see some blue in the sky??

Majestic indeed. Great reflection in the water. Seems almost too green - maybe the color was tweaked just a little bit too much?

Pleasant photo and processing. Might be a little on the sharp side or high contrast side for my tastes. 9.

One of the few shots to select green and make it work without looking like its overdone. Beautiful landscape.

Magical reflection here.....not sure of the light color of the mountains, as it distracts me from the foreground quite a lot...

Good..good. I love this, seems like a dream. Where is the sky though? Did you do that on purpose? At any rate, very nice.
