 I sure could use some Levels and some Brightness/Contrast right now! It may be a little dark even for my tastes, and I love darker photos with deep shadows. I hope no one notices the price tag on the axe! I bought it a couple of years ago, and haven't used it until now! The Sepia function is built into my camera, but oddly, no normal B/W feature is available. Oh well.

i would maybe zoom in on the subject a little - too much negative space up top in my opinion - maybe take the picture from a lower angle to emphasize the "power" of his swing. just some thoughts. cool pic and good idea. felling a tree is definately from the past! :) nice work.

composition is good, nice choice of coloring, nicely done photo....now go out and buy a chainsaw :)

To me, this photo is too much of the same color. I know this sounds strange, but I think that the axe almost dissapears into the background. The shirt is pink, when my mind wants it to be white. The jeans almost get lost into the background as well. I think that I would like a bit more tones. Not really sure if that's possible inside your camera, but definately when the challenge is done and over with, I hope you are able to edit in a larger variety of tones. As for the challenge, I think it fits nicely. Definately looks older, and I like the clothing as well as I think that adds to the oldness feeling of the photo. Overall a nice shot, just got some color issues in my personal opinion. ~Heather~

there needs to be more contrast here. the subject blends into the background too much, unfortunately.
