Sorry, I'm with the voters and not with the last commenter - there's no frame as described by the challenge:
"Capture an image where the foreground subject frames the rest of the image."
Other than that, its a nice photograph.
Did you try any alternative crop?

Wow, did people miss this or what? The clouds frame Ferdowsi in a kind of whole-body halo, and his legs frame the child. Aside from the photo meeting the challenge (which counts for a bit too much here at times), it is well composed, dynamic, and technically spot-on. The view from below helps to emphasize the strength and impact of the subject. The choice of color here is fine, but I do think that black & white would have worked quite well.
Basically, this is a good indication that the majority of voters are moving much to quickly. The discerning few who take the time, see an out of the box shot that deserved to place near the top, not dead at the bottom. Good luck in the future challenges. |

i hope other voters take the time to look at your picture and not dismiss it at a stroke. i nearly did myself - i didn't register the frame for a moment there... but yes, the sky does form a natural frame of sorts, and a quite stunningly beautiful one at that. i think whacking up the contrast, or even taking up the saturation and lowering the lightness on the blues (which you can do under basic) would have made it a bit more obvious, though. your subject seems to be quite an enigmatic character - i was compelled to look him up actually. the statue is beautifully lit, and nicely captured - good for a guide book. nice - 7. |

This is a beautiful shot with great perspective, but where is the framing? Maybe I missed something. |

Frame? I don't think the sky background qualifies. |

No foreground framing that I can see so will reserve judgement. |

This is a really great photo. Unfortunately I don't think it meets the challenge. |
