Challenge: SHADOWS III
Description: Creatively capture a shadow

Advanced Edit
Monumental
Fit: Clearly meets the challenge 1
There is a shadow butâ€Â¦
Aesthetics: OK composition 1
I like the image and the use of B&W but feel that the shadow - th epoint of the exercise - has been lost a little in the image. Maybe a tighter crop loosing some of the foreground?
Technical: Technically OK 1
Real lack of highlight and shadow details for me
Wow: Has some impact 1
I actually like this as an image but feel that it does "creatively capture a shadow" - sorry
Total Score = 4

great picture, but the foreground is just out of place to me. maybe it's just me. very nice photo nonetheless. 7

Now that's a large shadow...good thinking.

a good picture, but the shadow isn't that prominent.

I'm afriad that I don't think that the 'shadow' is strong enough here.

Would have enjoyed more tonal range - maybe tweak the contrast up a few notches. Probably could have gotten the brides to stand out more that way (especially if tweaking was done on the red channel - that is the Golden Gate right?)

I'm not getting - and I'm more certain that most other ovters will eb in the same boat - what shadows have to do with this image in a way they don't with any photograph whatsoever. Obviously, all mono images absolutely depend upon shadow, or perhaps rather light and shade, otherwise they would be simple grey planes, but I think to take that as your launching-point is to wilfully not engage with the idea of the challenge, and tus the point of DPC.

Nice enough image, though perhaps lacking any real fascination - and hardly an unknown scene, really: though you've given us a strong sense of the 'suspension' element of the bridge, which is good to see.

Beautiful shot, looks like it could be on a post card, but I wish the shadow was stronger.
