Challenge: Framing II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Sony DSC-F717
Location: studio
Date: Jun 13, 2006
Aperture: F8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 30 seconds
Galleries: Abstract, Humorous
Date Uploaded: Jun 13, 2006

Photo of a white piece of paper lit by the overhead light in the room.

In camera: F8 aperture, ISO100, 30 second exposure.

Post Processing: Hue/Sat to blue; white wispy "cirrus clouds" are an accident of light glare on the sheet of paper; cropped to the minimum of 160 pixels; added a 2 pixel white border and a 478 pixel black border to bring the total to the 640 pixel maximum.

DNMC? Depends on how deep into the literalist DPC well you live. Maybe somebody will throw us a rope and help us climb out into the blue sky world of the imagination.

congratulations, this is the strangest image I've seen here I think. It is minimalistic and a bit crazy ... not 100% sure whether it meets the challenge, but congrats on having the cahones.

1 - If you put as much effort into taking a naturally framed shot as you did in pp, would have been better.

A fine minimalist example of framing. I give you a 10, the only one I've given out today. Why, because there is no cute deer, ugly baby, muse of a girl friend, overpriced photography equipment or expensive vacation scenery clouding the concept.

Is this a well? Or a patch of blue sky with a border aded later? Seems like the latter to me, which is disappointing.

This photo is a 10 if I ever saw one. Anybody that gives it a lower score doesn't understand your genious.

i am not sure why you entered this except maybe because you desire attention for yourself? I am sure you enjoy comments like this otherwise you would not have entered this. Hope you get your kicks... Can't debate weather or not to give you a 1 or a 10. You are probably going for the brown ribbbon so atleast a 10 would help offset that...1

Meets the challenge, but there was something about a picture within the frame.

I can't decide if that is looking up a chimney or just a PS frame. :p

Is it sky with a large border? Definitely framed :)

I'm giving you a 10 for the great border. :-)

PS: and to stop you from winning the brown ribbon! ;-)

It is a frame, but a little too abstract for me. Sorry.
